教学指导思想与理论依据

  1.高中英语新课程倡导语法教学应运用观察、发现、归纳和实践等方法,学习语言知识,感悟语言功能。
  新课程建议语法教学应遵循“语言接触理解体验语言聚焦自主运用”的教学思路。
  2.高中阶段的语言知识学习要以语用为目的,要把知识的学习和语言实践相结合。
  3. 在设计任务时,教师应以学生的生活经验和兴趣为出发点,要助于英语知识的学习、语言技能的发展和语言实际运用能力的提高。
  4.本课将要学习到的状语从句为课标语法项目表第19项所规定内容;该单元话题为课标话题项目表第15项所规定内容(Entertainment and sports)。

教学背景分析

  (一)教材分析
  单元分析
  本课是M2U5L3 Experiment in Folk的第二课时,是一节语法课。本单元的中心话题为“Rhythm”,包含四个子话题:1.了解音乐的流派和摇滚乐的优秀表演者。2.熟悉我国的文化瑰宝——京剧的表演艺术。3.了解著名的钢琴家孔祥东及他对民族音乐的热爱。4.了解世界上几种主要的舞蹈形式。因此,在前几课的学习中,学生积累了一些与话题有关的素材和词汇。

  1.本课是M2U5L3 Experiment in Folk的第二课时,是一节语法课。本单元的中心话题为“Rhythm”,包含四个子话题:1.了解音乐的流派和摇滚乐的优秀表演者。2.熟悉我国的文化瑰宝——京剧的表演艺术。3.了解著名的钢琴家孔祥东及其他对民族音乐的热爱。4.了解世界上几种主要的舞蹈形式。因此,在前几课的学习中,学生积累了一些与话题有关的素材和词汇。

  2.与M1、初中话题相比,M2的话题体现了与初中阶段所学知识之间很好的衔接;但文化含量更高、更有厚度,综合性更强,更强调学生对所学知识的综合运用。

  3.核心语法状语从句,是高中阶段非常重要的语法项目。从纵向看,学生曾在初中阶段掌握了条件状语从句的用法。在本单元第一课的第二课时中,学生对时间及让步状语从句已经能较熟练运用。对本课将要学到的原因、结果、目的状语从句有一定的认知,但不能对这些语法项目进行很好地综合运用。

  本课时分析
  1.本课话题为“Experiment in Folk”,本课分两课时完成。

  2.第一课时为阅读课,主要完成教材第26页的内容。这课的中心话题是了解著名的钢琴家孔祥东及其他对民族音乐的热爱。在第一课时中,我重点对学生进行阅读理解的训练。学生通过提取信息、处理信息,已经能在语篇中理解各种状语从句表达的含义并且能初步使用状语从句来表达自己的思想。

  3.本课时的教学内容为第二课时,是一节语法课。主要处理教材中第26-27页的内容。学生通过重点观察、发现归纳状语从句在语境中的区别和用法,练习状语从句的用法。终极目标是通过本课学习,学生们能运用所学状语从句和课文中的重点词汇来比较有条理地口头介绍一位具有鲜明特色的艺术家。

  教材整合
  根据学情,并结合本课的教学重点,我选取了P27的练习7, 8和P70的练习3,4,5,并调整了相应的顺序。

  (二)学生情况分析
  知识方面

  学生们经过本单元前两课的学习,已经掌握了一部分与音乐及音乐人士相关的词汇及短语,通过对Lesson 1和Lesson3第一课时的学习,学生们基本掌握了著名音乐人士Alanis和Kong的语言素材;理解和掌握了时间、让步、条件状语从句的用法。此外本单元的话题是学生很感兴趣的话题,与学生的实际生活很贴近。

  能力方面
  对条件、时间及让步状语从句能较熟练运用;能用本单元所学话题词汇表达观点。能初步运用一些表原因等的状语从句表达思想。

  学习特点
  大部分基础较好,有学习热情和愿望;喜欢合作学习。

  存在的差距
  对原因、结果、目的状语从句有一定的认知,但综合运用各种状语从句为薄弱环节。且学生在表达时内容随意性强,缺乏逻辑性和思想深度。

  (三)设计思路与教材处理
  设计思路
  本课将遵循“语言接触理解体验语言聚焦自主运用”的教学思路,通过用英语完成任务来巩固所学的语言知识,达到提高学生综合语言运用能力的目的。此外,根据本单元话题要求,应考虑将语言的形式为其所承载的思想和内容服务。

教学目标

  1.通过情景练习,重点理解原因、结果和目的状语从句的区别和用法。
  2.能够综合运用所学状语从句比较有条理地口头介绍一位具有鲜明特色的艺术家。 (本单元核心话题)。
  3.学习艺术家们刻苦努力及坚持不懈的精神和他们对祖国的热爱。

教学重点、难点

  (一)教学重点
  1.理解原因、结果、目的状语从句的区别和用法。
  2. 能运用阅读课文中的所学词汇和语法比较有条理地口头介绍一位具有鲜明特色的艺术家。

   能在口头表达中,恰当运用所学目标语法有条理、有逻辑的表达思想。

   Sample:
   Alanis Morissette is such a true performer that she is famous all over the world.
   Alanis is a Canadian singer and song writer. When she was only 21 years old, her album Jagged Little Pill came out, which made her world famous. Since then, she has tried to make several great albums. Because of her talent and constant efforts, her song Uninvited won this year’s Grammy Award for the best rock song. And she went on to win awards in competitions across the world.

  Besides great albums, she also gave many creative and powerful performances on stage. She said she experimented with different styles so that she could create something new. Her creative performance in the concert last week was such a success that it impressed greatly many fans in England. Although it was cold, there was not an empty seat anywhere at last.

  All in all, Alanis Morissette is a great singer.
